Letter from new webmaster 3.14.10

Welcome to the new, official Hampton One Design website! When Vincent J. Serio, Jr. designed and built our beautiful boat in 1934, he probably never imagined his legacy would last 75 years and have all the potential to last another 75! We are excited to have reached this milestone and we are using this opportunity to make a concentrated, coordinated push for new boats and new members! If you have any interest in the Hampton One Design, please stay in touch and come see us in the parking lot!

Many thanks to Leigh Morgan Chapman for her years of service to the class as webmaster, and congratulations on the birth of her son Will ! We are lucky to have such friendly and dedicated folks like Leigh and Dave in our organization and look forward to their honoring our proud tradition of multi-generational Hampton sailing!

As I sort through the files left to me by the former HOD webmasters, I will be adding a lot of content you might have seen before, but the same time I am working very hard to make this a source for current information. Please note things like the guest book, used boat listing, and crew/skipper listing forms that I already have built into the site. These are working tools that will hopefully encourage people to be involved. Eventually I will also set up a 'news feed' where folks that might be willing to help with regatta reporting, photos, and stories can see their posting before it gets archived. Over the coming weeks the new Hampton site might be an interesting place to check in, so please book mark the new page, share it with your friends, and PLEASE sign the guestbook so we can stay in touch!
